Product Description

The Olympus Stylus Tough TG-850 is a rugged compact with a super wide angle 21-105mm zoom lens, a 16MP backlit CMOS sensor, and 1080/60p HD video. The LCD screen flips 180°, making self portraits easier, even underwater. The camera is waterproof down to 33 feet (10m), shockproof from seven feet (2.1m)*, crushproof up to 220 pounds (100kgf), freezeproof down to 14° F (-10°C) and dustproof. The TG-850 is capable of shooting up to 7.1 fps and includes a 99-frame built-in intervalometer shooting mode.

    Oly TG850 ultra wide is unique.

    Fantastic selfie camera. I am the family picture taker and rarely appear in any photos. With this camera, I can include the whole family and myself in a selfie with no tripod or stranger involved. This camera is also replaced my wide angle lens. It is so much more conventient than changing lenses and even more compact than a lens. The results are much better than I expected with a folded lens. The photos are crisp and not soft like my previous Sony waterproof camera. I hope someone produces a ...

QUESTION

Snorkling and the beach; TG3 or TG850

I'm dropping in from M43 land because we are planning an extended vacation to Florida and plus a Bahamas cruise. Plan do some snorkeling in the Bahamas plus lots of beach and pool time. While my main travel camera will still be my E-M10, I want a waterproof backup for the water, the beach, and poolside. Looking for opinions for and against either of these cameras.

I just got a TG-3. Used it on a trip to Isla Mujeres, the camera is great. It has a extreme close up mode which is very useful. Check the pics out in this forum under Tg-3 Whale Sharks. It also has a wide angle lens(optional) that is very good. I like the GPS function.The only complaint is it does not shoot raw files. Continue Reading
