Product Description

Sony's 70-200mm F2.8 G is a fast telephoto zoom compatible with Sony's full-frame and APS-C SLT cameras. It may be based on a 2003 Minolta design, but its performance is still very good indeed. However, it's very pricey in comparison to the Sigma and Tamron alternatives, which are almost as good, and recent releases from Canon and Nikon have made it look a little dated.

    simply the best!

This has been probably the best lens I have ever owned! It is quick, silent and accurate. The colour reproduction is superb!! I would recomend it to any sony alpha owner and is a good reason to change brands! I have owned this lens for over a year now and use it for everything! Low light such as in theatres, fast action sports, portrait, landscape, video (not often) in fact there's not much I can do that I haven't used this to do! Problems: only draw back would be that you have to be careful ...

    Wonderful Lens

This lens is truly amazing and I go out of my way to use it. The build construction is excellent, it feels strong and solid in hand and while I'm not about to test it, I feel like i could drop it, pick it up and keep going without even checking for scratches. The colors and sharpness it produces are remarkable, focusing with it is super fast and accurate, much better than with the old 70-200 4.5-5.6 (albeit an old lens the contrast in speed is still a testament to this one's quality). I use ...
